THE LOOP – COMMUNITY EVENTS SCRIPT
Here are this week’s community highlights from The Loop.
Caritas continues to support individuals and families in our local community — and help is still very much needed.
Right now, the food bank especially needs warm clothing, bedding, non-perishable food items and full-fat milk.
If you can donate even one item, it will make a real difference. Donations can be dropped off at the Breeze FM studio.
We’re helping the Almanzora Group of Friends Bear Hunt collect 75 small teddy bears for the children’s Book Week event in Albox.
If you’d like to help, we’re very happy to receive small teddies — knitted, handmade or shop-bought.
You can drop them off at the Breeze 97.7 FM studio, and we’ll add them to the running total on our Facebook page.
And if you’d like to make your own, there’s a simple teddy pattern available in the Loop Group on Facebook.
APSA is hosting a Fashion Show on Tuesday the 28th of April at the Hostal Rural in Turre, with doors opening at 12.30.
Enjoy fashion and accessories stalls, a tombola, plus food and drinks available.
Tickets are just five euros and are available from Hostal Rural in Turre, the APSA charity shop in Albox, or by contacting Sally on 620 210 857.
AA Dog Rescue is hosting a fabulous Drag Cabaret fundraiser on Wednesday the 6th of May at Nuevo Trinidad in Arboleas, with doors opening at 6pm.
Starring international drag artist Dixie Normous, flying in from the UK for one night only.
