Here are this week’s community highlights from The Loop.
Caritas continues to support individuals and families in our local community — and help is still very much needed.
Right now, the food bank especially needs non-perishable food items and full-fat milk.
If you can donate even one item, it will make a real difference. Donations can be dropped off at the Breeze FM studio.
HELP FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY THE LOS GALLARDOS/ BEDAR FIRE
The response from the Breeze community has been overwhelming, and we have already been able to deposit over €1500 to the Cruz Roja appeal bank account.
We are still accepting donations, so if you’d like to help those affected by the Los Gallardos and Bédar fire, you can make a cash donation through Breeze 97.7FM.
All donations will be passed directly to Cruz Roja, who are providing emergency accommodation, food, water and ongoing support to those affected.
Donations can be dropped into the Breeze studio, or if you’re in Arboleas, you can donate via the collection tin at the AFA Charity Shop.
Firefighters Benefit Concert
Don’t miss the Firefighters Benefit Concert at The Irish Rover on Wednesday 29th July from 5pm.
Enjoy an incredible line-up of local entertainers performing free of charge, including Geoff Murrell, Tim Ridgway, Carol George, Lady Ellen, Dani Moj, Abbasolutely Fabulous, Harmony Duo and a special appearance from David Scott.
Tickets are just 10 euros, with all proceeds going directly to support our brave firefighters. There’ll also be fantastic raffle prizes on the night.
