Here are this week’s community highlights from The Loop.
Caritas continues to support individuals and families in our local community — and help is still very much needed.
Right now, the food bank especially needs warm clothing, bedding, non-perishable food items and full-fat milk.
If you can donate even one item, it will make a real difference. Donations can be dropped off at the Breeze FM studio.
APSA is hosting a Fashion Show on Tuesday the 28th of April at the Hostal Rural in Turre, with doors opening at 12.30.
Enjoy fashion and accessories stalls, a tombola, plus food and drinks available.
Tickets are just five euros and are available from Hostal Rural in Turre, the APSA charity shop in Albox, or by contacting Sally on 620 210 857.
AA Dog Rescue is hosting its annual Dog Show & Craft Fayre Funday in Arboleas on Sunday 3rd May.
Head to the Arboleas Social Centre Grounds opposite the medical centre. Gates open at 11am and entry is free.
There’ll be 10 fun dog show classes including waggiest dog and best rescue, plus craft stalls, BBQ, cakes, drinks, raffles and prizes.
Every dog entry gets a gift, and celebrity judges The Garners from Sun, Sea and Selling Houses will be there too.

AA Dog Rescue is hosting a fabulous Drag Cabaret fundraiser on Wednesday the 6th of May at Nuevo Trinidad in Arboleas, with doors opening at 6pm.
Starring international drag artist Dixie Normous, flying in from the UK for one night only.
Tickets are €10, but they’re selling out fast, so if you’re planning to go, please book as soon as possible.

AA Dog Rescue is holding a Fabulous VE Day Celebration.
Join them on Friday 8th May at New Trinidad from 1pm for a fun-filled afternoon of music and community spirit.
Enjoy live entertainment from Sharon Reagan, with Kath Clayton at the keyboard, plus a raffle and food available.
Entry is just €5, with all proceeds going to AA Dog Rescue.
Join Kitty’s Claws Charity Katwalk Fashion Show on Saturday 9th May at Cortijo La Cueva in Arboleas for an afternoon of fashion, fun and fundraising in support of local cats in need.
Enjoy the Katwalk Fashion Show, tómbola, raffle, Guess the Buttons Jar, plus food, drinks and entertainment from Jack Law.
Arrive from 1:30pm, starts 2pm. Entry €5 in advance from Kitty’s shop or €6 on the door — includes a free glass of cava.
Vera Lions Peace & Love Party — Sunday 31st May from 6pm at Bocaina Beach Club, Mojacar. Enjoy live music from The Funk Federation, plus DJ, games, and plenty of feel-good fun. Tickets are €10 with all proceeds going to the Lions Charity. Available from Jackie Miles-Kirby, Me & Mrs Jones Mojácar, and the Lions Shop in Turre.
